The client for this design approached us with a view to creating a practical
downstairs shower room which was easy to maintain and made the best use of
the space available to benefit a member of the family with mobility difficulties.
We achieved a very easy to clean room by using a wall hung WC with a
concealed cistern inside a tiled boxing, floor to ceiling large format tiles,
concealed shower valve and a wall hung vanity unit.
In order to create more
storage for the customer we also used a mirrored cabinet over the basin and we
included an integrated fold down shower seat and low level shower tray to make
the room much more accessible. The shower used a simple glass panel to aid
access and a grab bar was also installed along the back wall so the customer
had more independence using the shower.
